Cannibalism In The Cars

This poster is derived from the 1868 short story “Cannibalism in the Cars” by American author Mark Twain. The poster contains passages from the height of the story. The poster draws inspiration from an old Western wanted poster, which is appropriate for the period and genre of this work. Using typographic skills, I created a clean and sharp set poster and implemented pull quotes with some of the most important lines in the story.

Unfinished Symphony No. 8

This poster advertises the Unfinished symphony performed by the Philadelphia Orchestra. The main focus for this piece is the fact that this symphony is unfinished. Using my original distressed texture, cropping, and an extremely dark palette,
I push the audience to recognize the possibility of beauty in abandonment.

Philadelphia Permanence

The background of this poster is an original map of Center City, Philadelphia. Each number that lies on the edge of my hand-drawn snake represents the location of a tattoo shop in Philadelphia. The snake is drawn in the style of American traditional, a nod to the style used in many tattoo shops. The use of blackletter in the title relates to the typeface on many tattoo shop fronts. Notation surrounding the snake provides the shop name and the most prominent style used.
