Letters to a Young Poet

This project is a collaged zine containing some excerpts from, Rainer Maria Rilke’s ‘Letters to a Young Poet’ and several drawings and tattoos that I have done myself. The project quickly transformed from a simplistic text and image display that showcased some of my personal work into a scanned collage showing the authenticity of the processes of an artist which is also represented in the texts. The original simplistic design was printed, torn apart, taped together, and digitally scanned. The scans were then bitmapped to convey the true tactility of the original scans.
